Tioga Pass Resort is located in the Yosemite High Country, about one mile east of the eastern entrance to Yosemite National Park. Tuolumne Meadows is located just fifteen minutes from TPR. Yosemite Valley is less than a two hour drive from TPR -- see Half Dome and be home (and away from the crowd) in time for dinner.
